I hate the footers that are included whenever people post, they are distracting and redundant. I think that option should be removed. Just create a thread that lists info people want out there.

I am not calling out anyone, I know this post will go after bigwill's who is a great guy on here and has never been a bastard on this site like so many others.

The footers are very distracting though

They can get out of hand. There was a user on Old House Web's PHPBB that had what must have been a 50 line signature with his "to do" list. Worse, I don't think I ever saw him post anything chattier than, "Yeah. Me too."

I don't mind short sigs/footers -- website links and the like.
What annoys me is when people have a meaningful quote (or their favorite 3mb book excerpt) glued to every post. It's old after the first reading and adds to clutter, especially when there's a lot of give-and-take happening.

I don't mind most signatures, what I hate is the ones that make you scroll and it's a full page or more, filled with pictures of their "cute" kids, animals, nieces, nephews, and best friends kids, etc. Annoying! I don't mind a few links. What I'd like to do is have a clickable small picture. Still have not figured out quite how to do that yet....

Because those are my lolita shades! I wear them pretty frequently because I like the way the world looks through them. But that picture was largely by chance. My daughter was fooling with my camera and snapped a picture of me really close.
