Don't tip off the neighbors, anyway. Let the world's tallest water slide be a sudden happy surprise.Laura wrote:chopper wrote:Doh wrote:I heard it was gonna be water park too- all heated so it can be open all year and it was going to have the worlds tallest water slide- the park was going to be designed vertically....

yes I heard that one today too. I also heard that IHOP is coming to the Blockbuster space on 86th Street. No idea if that's true or not, but they do have the parking lot, which means it's a pricey space, so it would make sense since only a chain/franchise could afford it.

Wow. Really? What was the plan for that?

And fuck IHOP, let's get a Sonic. (Although if there is an IHOP, my fat ass will be attending...)

That store was very large and had very little of interest. I have been in a few other Greek stores on 5th Ave. that were half the size and contained a whole lot more.
Considering the floor area and the lack of customers I'm sure they were very deeply in debt for a while now.
I once bought lamb from there and it was over priced and poor quality.
Doh wrote:WOW- anybody check out the "brand new" hardware store on Third Ave & 91st ???? 2 stores next to Cupcake Cafe and across Foodtown..... This place is amazing- look out Home Depot ! They have things for sale that home depot doesn't even carry or heard of!

Seriously doubt that there's an ample amount of space in the front to enclose seating and make it worth while following that law. I have a feeling they will just continue to place tables there and infringe on the 8 foot rule.

bklyngirl wrote:oh I agree Laura. I hate to see yet another local business bite the dust, but on the other hand I've always wondered how they survived as long as they did since they were way overpriced for the clothes they sold. Right now they have a 20% sale going on according to the sign in the window, but even with that, most of their stuff is still too pricey.

NO WAY! Can it be that God really does exist? The only thing that would make that better is an ihop/friendly's/dairyqueen combination with a drive in theater/water park behind it.
